World Kidney Day 2026: free screenings from the Nefrocenter Group

On the occasion of World Kidney Day on March 12, the Nefrocenter Group, a point of reference and leader in nephrology, diabetology and the treatment of metabolic diseases, is promoting a major prevention day across the country.

The initiative aims to raise public awareness of the importance of kidney health and to encourage early diagnosis of kidney disease, which is often silent in its early stages.

Prevention is in fact the first and most effective tool for reducing the risk of complications and slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease.

 

Why World Kidney Day matters

• Urinalysis
• Blood pressure measurement

Screening at the Nefrocenter dialysis centers

Free screening will be carried out on the morning of March 12 at all Nefrocenter dialysis centers in Campania, Lazio and Liguria.

In addition, the initiative will also be promoted in the community with a dedicated stand in Frattamaggiore, in the province of Napoli, in the very central Piazza Umberto I.

It will be a further opportunity to bring prevention closer to citizens and to promote a culture of kidney health.

Screening at the Nefrocenter clinics

Also on March 12, the initiative will continue (by appointment) at the following clinics of the Group:

• Casa di Salute Santa Lucia – San Giuseppe Vesuviano – from 12:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Casa di Cura Ospedale Internazionale – Napoli – from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Casa di Cura Villa dei Fiori – Mugnano di Napoli – from 2:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Rome American Hospital – Roma – from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Casa di Cura Villa Anna Maria – Roma – from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

At these locations the screening will also include:

• Nutritional counseling
• Body composition assessment (BIA)

The multidisciplinary approach, in fact, will make it possible to assess not only kidney function but also the metabolic factors that can influence kidney health.

How to take part

The screening is completely free and will take place on March 12, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the dialysis centers and in the square in Frattamaggiore, with free access. In the afternoon it will be held at the 3 clinics in Campania, while at the two clinics in Roma it will run from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (booking is required at the clinics). At all locations, except the square, patients must collect and bring in their own urine sample for the urinalysis, in a suitable container.
