01 — SCOPE

The NefroCenter Group’s Robotic Systems

The adoption of surgical robotics in the NefroCenter Group covers a wide spectrum of specialties: from general and urological surgery to orthopedic joint replacement surgery. Two distinct technological platforms — the da Vinci Surgical System and the CORI robot — operate in the group’s facilities in Lazio and Campania, offering patients standards of care in line with the best national centers of excellence.

Technologies

Highly complex minimally invasive surgery

Da Vinci Surgical System

The da Vinci system is the reference technology for minimally invasive robotic surgery. Thanks to an advanced console, miniaturized instruments and high-definition three-dimensional vision, the surgeon operates with greater precision than with traditional instruments, even in areas that are anatomically difficult to reach. Applications range from urological oncology to general surgery, through to gynecology, bariatric and head and neck surgery.

Robot-assisted orthopedic joint replacement surgery

CORI Robot

The CORI robot is a computer-assisted surgical system designed for orthopedic joint replacement surgery. It integrates pre-operative planning, real-time surgical navigation and three-dimensional visualization of the patient’s anatomy. The system tracks the position of the surgical instruments with millimeter precision, guaranteeing optimal implant positioning and significantly reducing post-operative recovery times.

03 — THE GROUP

07 — FAQ

Patients’ questions

Are robotic surgery procedures covered by the National Health Service (SSN)?

Many of the robotic procedures performed in the group’s facilities are provided under the National Health Service. The regime depends on the procedure and the facility: at the time of booking we tell you the exact conditions.

Is it the robot that operates?

No. The robotic system is guided at every moment by the surgeon, who controls each of its movements from the console: the technology amplifies precision and control, it does not replace the hand or the experience of the team.

What are the recovery times?

Generally faster than with traditional surgery: less invasiveness, reduced blood loss and earlier discharge. The actual times depend on the procedure and the patient’s clinical picture.

How do I know whether I am a candidate for robotic surgery?

With a specialist assessment: the team analyzes the clinical picture and tells you whether the robotic approach is the most suitable choice for your case. You can book a consultation through the switchboard or online booking.
