World Diabetes Day 2025
Strong turnout in the squares of Campania and Lazio for the prevention campaign by the group NefroCenter
The initiative promoted by the NefroCenter Group on the occasion of World Diabetes Day on November 14 has ended with a great turnout. The prevention and awareness activities involved 10 squares and facilities across Campania and Lazio, confirming the group’s commitment to bringing community healthcare into direct contact with citizens.
During the morning, 877 people underwent free screenings that included a diabetes examination and a capillary blood glucose measurement, a simple and immediate check that is nonetheless essential for the early detection of metabolic changes. Thanks to the work of 30 healthcare workers, 117 potential cases of diabetes were identified, almost 14%, a figure that underlines how prevention is still an essential element today for reducing the risk of complications and for promoting a better quality of life.
The stations were active in 8 cities of Campania — Atripalda, Castellammare di Stabia, Cava de’ Tirreni, Napoli, Nocera Inferiore, San Giuseppe Vesuviano, Scafati and Torre Annunziata — joined by information points in Lazio, further broadening the campaign’s reach.

World Diabetes Day was once again a moment of encounter, information and support for the population, showing how essential it is to keep investing in awareness and early diagnosis activities.
