Free screenings for kidney disease prevention in Gragnano

A day in Gragnano devoted to kidney disease prevention and awareness, with free screenings for the entire population. The event is on Sunday, April 19. The Nefrocenter Group, in collaboration with the association Onlus I.N.Viaggio di Luigi Iannone, is promoting an initiative open to all citizens.
In Piazzetta Aldo Moro, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., it will be possible to have complete screenings with no need for an appointment. The goal is to encourage the participation of as many people as possible so that they can join the prevention program.
>During the morning, patients will be able to undergo several tests free of charge, along with a series of basic checks useful for assessing kidney health:

• Consultation with a nephrology specialist
• Urine test
• Blood pressure measurement
• Body composition analysis by bioimpedance (BIA).

Kidney diseases, in fact, are a condition that is often underestimated, also because in the early stages they tend to appear silently, without obvious symptoms. For this reason, the specialists stress, prevention and early diagnosis play a fundamental role. This makes it possible to promptly detect any alterations and start appropriate care pathways.
The initiative is part of the health promotion activities carried out by Nefrocenter. The Group has been committed for years to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of kidney, diabetes-related and metabolic conditions.
The Gragnano day is part of a broader awareness-raising effort in the area. The goal is to spread a culture of regular checkups and correct lifestyles, key elements for protecting kidney function and overall health. The Nefrocenter Group has always taken part in World Kidney Day with stands in various cities, not only in Campania.
