“LO STATO VINCE SEMPRE”: NEFROCENTER AT THE PRESENTATION OF CATELLO MARESCA’S BOOK. Legality understood as action, with the determination of men who want to change things. Not a badge, but concrete acts that lead to the spread of a Culture of Legality. In Naples the book “Lo Stato vince sempre” was presented. It is the volume by public prosecutor Catello Maresca, who has been on the front line in the fight against the mafia for years. Standing by his side and in support of the Associazione U.N.I.C.A. (Unione Nazionale Italiana della Cultura Antimafia), with pride, was also the NefroCenter Group, which took part in the event held at Pizza Madre with its founder Giovanni Lombardi. The event, promoted by the Associazione Terronian, saw great participation from civil society, the part of society that stands firmly and resolutely on the side of legality.

Among the topics, moderated by journalist and writer Salvatore Minieri, was the importance of spreading the Culture of Legality already in schools, starting from the youngest to build aware adults. Promoting the concepts of Legality and Justice among young people is one of the association’s mantras.

But the title of Catello Maresca’s book goes further. It is a strong hymn to hope, to the desire for change. A warning to the mafia, which in the end will never get away with it, especially when courageous magistrates take the field. “Lo Stato vince sempre” is a verdict, without appeal, that tips the scales toward Justice, a word that in its very etymology holds the meaning of everything: the quality of being iustus.

During the meeting, the agreement between the Associazione U.N.I.C.A. and the Gran Premio Internazionale del Leone d’oro di Venezia was also signed. The book presentation was also an opportunity to bring people and ideas together, enriched by the participation of the singer-songwriter Shara and the master pizza chef Salvatore Di Matteo.

The proceeds from sales of Catello Maresca’s book will be donated to the Associazione U.N.I.C.A. A contribution to lend support in a war of values against violence and abuse of power. But… “Lo Stato vince sempre”.
