The Nefrocenter group takes part in the Health Days of Napoli on September 23 and 24. With a station set up in Piazza del Plebiscito

The Nefrocenter group takes part in the Health Days of Napoli, scheduled for September 23 and 24. With a station set up in Piazza del Plebiscito, the group provides free screenings to visitors taking part in the day organized by the Municipality of Napoli. For the second consecutive year, Nefrocenter is collaborating with the Municipality of Napoli and with the local health authorities (ASL) to carry out free screenings for part of the population.
On Saturday, after the first checkups had been carried out, the health village was closed because of adverse weather conditions that could have caused problems for the mobile structures. The checkups are instead scheduled as planned on Sunday, September 24, starting at 9 a.m.
The goal of the village dedicated to prevention is to allow as many citizens as possible to have free screenings to check their overall health. ASL Napoli 1 Centro, Napoli 2 Nord and Napoli 3 Sud take part in the “La Salute per Tutti” days. The screenings are carried out, in addition to the Nefrocenter group’s specialists, by the Federico II and Vanvitelli Universities, as well as by the hospitals Santobono Pausilipon, Dei Colli, Cardarelli, Pascale and the Betania foundation. The Napoli prevention days also include the contribution of the professional associations of medical specialists. Associations and scientific societies from the municipalities of Napoli are involved as well. An event that has involved all the realities of Napoli’s healthcare. Carrying out health screenings is essential for several reasons. First of all, for the prevention of diseases. Only in this way can risk factors and health conditions be identified before they develop into more serious problems. Early diagnosis, in fact, makes it possible to detect diseases at an early stage, when they are easier to treat and have a better prognosis. The cancer screenings carried out during the Health Days in Napoli represent the best form of prevention. An initiative that allows healthcare costs to be reduced for institutions and for citizens, and the consequent improvement of quality of life.
