The gynecological outpatient services include regular check-ups, essential for the prevention and early diagnosis of gynecological diseases. Oncological screening tests, such as the Pap smear and Human Papillomavirus DNA testing (HPV test), are performed for the prevention of cervical cancer. Second-level diagnostic procedures such as colposcopy (to examine the cervix in detail) and diagnostic hysteroscopy (to visualize the inside of the uterine cavity) are also performed, along with hysterosalpingography for the study of tubal patency. For benign gynecological conditions (uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, genital prolapse) or malignant conditions (uterine and ovarian tumors) requiring surgical treatment, the department offers advanced gynecological surgery with various approaches: traditional (abdominal laparotomy), vaginal, and minimally invasive endoscopic (laparoscopy, operative hysteroscopy).
