Cervicalgia, or neck pain, is a pain that starts in the neck and in some cases spreads to other parts of the body. It also affects the shoulders, namely the trapezius muscles, and the arms. The pain is caused by an alteration of the mechanical structures of the spine. The muscles, the facet joints, the ligaments and the intervertebral discs are involved.
